Hervey Bay is known as the gateway to Fraser Island, and for good reason.  Located just a thirty minute cruise across the Sandy Straits, Hervey Bay is perfectly positioned to offer easy and quick access to Fraser Island.

Barges depart regularly during the day and land at Wanggoolba Creek, Kingfisher Bay Resort and Moon Point, all centrally located on the western side of Fraser Island.

Located 3.5 hours north of Brisbane, Hervey Bay is easily found, just travel up the Bruce Highway and follow the signs from the Maryborough turn off.
